Emergent Behavior - 1987

This work examines the ways we communicate through our behavior and the simulation of the phenomena of emergent behavior. Animation was created with an Artificial Life software system that simulates natural flocking behavior. Software developed by Craig Reynolds. 

Commissioned by Rebo High Definition Studios, New York, it is the first example of computer animation recorded to the early Japanese HDTV (High Definition Television) format.
